BLACK HILLS RIDE
Nemo, South Dakota
August 23 – 28
I’ve been getting some requests for the dates so here they are.
The place where we will be staying is Nemo Guest Ranch http://www.nemoguestranch.com/
You will be able to ride right out of the campground. There is fishing available, horse stables, a restaurant and a small convenience store.
You could also rent a cabin as well.
Providing that we get enough people to reserve a spot, the cheaper it will get. So you need to RSVP as soon as soon as you can.
Here is a detailed trail map of the area http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/blackhills/maps/sd_north_trvlmgt_sections.shtml , we will be primarily riding in sections 8,9,13,14 unless we get word on a better area.
This was featured on ATV Magazine TV and it looked like great riding with all different skill levels.
I have attached some literature on the area, so you would be able to read up on it.
We can do a field trip to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse while we are up there, for those who are interested.
Word has it that you can also ride your ATV into Deadwood for gambling as well.
Both clubs are invited and I hope we get a great turnout.
I might do a test ride in that area in June so if anyone would like to go with, just let me know via email.

For those who do not have a tent or RV there are some cabins at the ranch. The biggest cabin can sleep 19 people there are three or four bedrooms, double beds, pullout couches, bathrooms, etc…
If you choose to go this route you can see how many people you can gather up via email or whatever and split the cost.
Keep in mind there are several floor plan options and you do not have that many people going you can get something smaller or maybe just something private for a family.
Please keep me in the loop due to the fact we are going to try and group the reservations for some cheaper group pricing.
Willie, at the Guest Ranch, has informed me that there is a gas station across the street to fill up (while on the quad), and she is also going to send me some private trail maps that locals have done up along with pictures. She has also confirmed being able to ride to Deadwood for Gambling or sight seeing, but she is going to check for us if we can actually ride on the street or if there is just a place to park them.
Make sure you bring some sort of cable to lock the quad down or at least to each other just for safety. If you decide to go to Deadwood.
